Instructional Blueprint for Virtual Fieldtrip to Candlestick Park

Topic: Virtual Fieldtrip to Candle Stick Park

Subject Area: History of Baseball/Technology integration

Audience/Grade Level: High School and up.

Purpose: Integrate technology with prior learning about baseball teams and their ball fields.

Objectives: Use internet, word, write, use computers to create a brochure and apply a checklist and a rubrik.

Activity 1: .Learners will be given an example brochure to examine and look over to see what it can look like when finished.

Students will search and find an image of a ball park that the San Francisco Giants played at until 1999. They will copy and paste that image to their brochure and add text to the brochure for descriptions.

Activity 1: Instructor will take student graded rubrik and checklist and inspect digital brochure to verify all items are incorporated into the brochure. Overall grade will be based on completeness and quality of work. This will be a formative evaluation.

Activity 2: Instructor will return assignment after making 3 suggestions for improving the brochure and recording the tentative grade percentage on the rubrik.

Activity 1: Student will make any improvements and print 2 copies of the brochure. Take one copy with a rubrik to set up for the class to evaluate and grade. Instructor will total points and award mean (average) as grade.
